Its a NEW beginning!
One thing that I have learned(maybe even the hard way, or just my way) is:
Give everything to God....Trust in HIS timing, sometimes we rush to do what WE want and we dont wait for God to do HIS will for us! Im learning to just TRUST and RELAX and wait patiently for God's promises.
That is alot easier said than done....But I know I can do it! With God we can do anything!
So my job is so much fun so far. I am teaching 2year olds and they are going thru alot of stages, haha. But I am proud to say that after only a few days I have learned ALL of their names and pretty much got the routine down. Its a learning process, but I absolutely LOVE it. My calling is definitely working with and teaching children. We have a teacher work day coming up and that will entail sarah and I completely sanatizing our room. Re-decorating the walls, doing lesson plans, etc! Its going to be a really hectic and busy day but I am ready to get our room up to Goddard Standards! We have a lot of cute things we are going to do, so let the challenge begin! So that's it for now, I will update my devotions tomorrow. I have atleast 4to post.
Have a great night!

Sweet Little Kearstyn
Since it is called, Ashley AND Kearstyn's Korner, I decided to let yall know what she has been up to! Just recently she celebrated her 3rd birthday at the Jump Zone.....She had a BLAST and I think everyone else did too! She is in preschool at Dawson ELC. I absolutely LOVE her teacher and the program. Her teacher told the parents that by the end of the school year our children will be able to WRITE their own name and know some sign language. Kearstyn is definitely showing me the sign language that she has learned so far! She is such a different little girl from even 2months ago. She LOVES attention and pretty much has to be the center of attention at all times haha....If you arent looking at her she pulls your face to hers and says "look at me." She is obssessed with Hannah Montana now. I guess its a step up from Dora! She sings and dances to the theme song when it comes on. She also loves to sing in the car with mommy! She knows just about every Taylor Swift song because I play the cd constantly in the car.

She is a very very smart little girl. She blows me away with the new things she does daily. She acts and talks as if she is 8 or 9. She is stubborn and very strong willed(we are working hard on that one.) She HATES to have her hair brushed, its like a wrestling match when she gets out of the bath to brush her hair. But once it's done she loves to look at herself and say she has "princess hair." Its so much fun to see her grow up and become more mature and older. It's happening very fast and I am cherishing every moment I can of the younger years. She is my world. When I am having a bad day, just sitting watching tv with her or playing with her makes everything better! She has been such a big impact in my life and maybe one day when she gets older I can tell her how she helped mommy get thru all the hard times! Kearstyn Hailee, such a sweet precious little girl!! I love you!

Daily Devotions- Day 1
Have a great day!
Day 1- My Thirsty Soul
Let's face it, single motherhood provides us little leisure time. Days slip away from us until we find ourselves falling exhausted into bed often, without having spent any time with the Lord. But our connection with God through prayer and Bible study is an absolute neccessity.
God doesn't expect us to spend three hours a day in intense prayer or devote an entire evening to an in-depth study of the Bible's original Hebrew and Greek words. But He does ask for a little of the time we have. If the only "alone moments" we can offer Him are during our drive time to work, He'll take them!
Finding quiet time with God is crucial for our spiritual, mental, even physical health. Let's think of our alone time with Him as a period of refreshing for whatever strength, wisdom, or encouragement we'll need to succeed in the day before us.
The psalmist describes a "dry and weary land, " ready to absorb an evening rain or morning dew. What a picture of our lives, eagerly awaiting our Lord's life-giving sustenance.
Prayer: Lord, though I truly need You, I'm not always quick to recognize that truth. Cause me to see that You alone meet my deepest needs. Then shower me with Your living water and refresh my spirit until my cup overflows.

SURPRISE!!........HAPPY BIRTHDAY TREVOR
Last night, Tiffany threw Trevor a surprise party for his BIRTHDAY! He was VERY surprised and had no idea that she was even planning anything. It was a BLAST! Tiff you did an awesome job! The theme was "Fiesta", since their favorite food is mexican. It was so much fun to hang out and catch up with friends. Trevor built a really cool pong table, so the boys played that for a while. Others were playing pool/cards and just hanging out.
Tiff's mom made this awesome strawberry cake!! It was SOOO good and the detail on it went perfect with the theme of the party! There was also a cookie cake too!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TREVOR!!Saturday, August 15, 2009
Our Home

So this is the Den/Kitchen. I had a lot of decorative stuff from my old house in Moody, so everything fit fairly well in the apartment. I got new drapes and a rug, and the kitchen table my parents gave to me, its just the right size for the
area that it is in.

And here is the view of the Kitchen area, it opens up to the Den. I love it because the table fits just right, the only thing that I want to get is a little wine rack/table to put up against the other wall.

Here is the inside of the Kitchen, its very tiny but Its just enough space...All the cabinets are PACKED full off stuff! I had way to much stuff from my house, but luckily it all fit. Thanks britney for helping me in the Kitchen =).
This is my room. Its very spacious! It feels empty to me because the walls are pretty bare and very very white! But Im working on getting stuff to put on the walls and 2long panels to put on the window because it gets VERY bright, VERY early!! My parents got me the bedding for my birthday, I LOVE it.
Here is the other side of my room, I LOVE the hardwoods throughout the aparment!

And here is Kearstyn's room! Its def a work in progress. I am in the process of getting new bedding for her room. But is sleeping in a big girl bed now! It is almost time to convert it out to a full bed and get her a new mattress. Her furniture is definitely oversized and makes her room look TINY, but she has lots of room to play and she loves it. She tells everyone she sees that they need to come see her"new" house. And when they come in, she immediately gets them to go see her "new" room! It's too cute....She is a 3yr old going on 12! (marice's quote lol).

This use to be her changing table...Now its her Books/and nic-nack table. I love it because of all the storage in it!

and her toy box. Also, Devin came up with a genius idea to get a little box fan and put it in her room. It was WAY to quiet in her room and she needed something that made noise and they helped keep her cool during the night. Thanks Devin!

And heres the bathroom....Not much room, but we dont need much!

And that's it! Our wonderful , new home. Of course pictures don't do it justice so that just gives yall an excuse to come over for girls nights =)
Have a great day!

Sick of the FLU!!

After going to the doctor on Monday and being diagnosed with the Flu, I have been up and down with the symptoms.
She put me on Tamiflu, which let me tell you is expensive and makes you feel even worse!
Today has been the worst day by far! I couldnt even get off the couch because my body is so achey and I am extremely dizzy and very sick to my stomach. I finally had to call the doctor back to see what was going on and she informed me that these were just some of the symptoms and that my body will just have to fight it off and it will just have to pass thru my system. However she did call me in phengran, so hopefully I will get some sleep tonight!
My wonderful mother(nana) picked kearstyn up from school and took her home to spend the night with them so I could get some good sleep and hopefully feel much better tomorrow!
I forgot just how miserable the flu really is!! It has been a very long time since I had it and I ampraying for a speedy recovery. I am definitely getting my Flu Shot this year!!!
Have a great night!
